Course Description:
Root Cause Analysis for Everyone -- A Practice "Mini-RCA" on a Typical Failure
Is your organization interested in root cause analysis? Is RCA something that only a FEW people do, or is it something ANYONE can apply? What is the difference between root cause analysis and problem-solving? How should you DO a root cause analysis? When should you stop asking "why?" What should you do with your learning’s?
These questions have been pondered by the instructor since 1974, when he first began performing and teaching RCA. Based on his 4-day " Root Cause Experience," a training session he performs about 12 times per year, Mr. Nelms has captured the essence of "failure and its causes" in the following 3 ½ hour format designed to enable the participant to do MUCH MORE than mere problem-solving.
Attendees will investigate a real failure, and write a report describing its causes. Perhaps more importantly, you will meet others who are struggling with the subject of RCA
