A presentation for LEADERS of investigations - both experienced and novice, Mr. Nelms’ leads a discussion of the 8 facets of an RCA he feels critical to its success. Mr. Nelms encourages dialogue amongst all participants so that we can all learn from one another as these 8 facets are discussed. Underlying all the discussions is the need to TAKE CONTROL, and HAVE A PLAN.
Mr. Nelms’ approaches have been tested both in actual investigations as well as in training classes since 1974. Even so, he encourages new ideas, based on the experience from others, since NONE OF US IS AS SMART AS ALL OF US. Join others from around the world to hear how others are approaching RCA.

Workshop Instructor Bio:
C. Robert Nelms, Failsafe Network, Inc.
 C. Robert (Bob) Nelms is President of Failsafe Network, Inc., and an internationally recognized "Root Cause" consultant. He is a public speaker and an associate professor at the University of Dayton’s Center for Competitive Change. Bob has authored several books, including "What You Can Learn from Things that Go Wrong - a Guidebook to the Root Causes of Failure" and "The Dynamics of Inculcating the Root Cause Mentality." Bob has many years of hands-on experience in Root Cause Analysis of a broad range of failures. He focuses on individual and organizational root cause discovery, and has influenced the direction of several Fortune 100 companies in their attitudes and approaches towards failure.
Bob holds a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University. Before founding Failsafe Network, Inc., he was employed by McDonnell Douglas and the Allied Corporation.
