Do you still have customer dissatisfaction? Heavy competition on price in the market place? Shrinking margins? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you may be ready for Six Sigma.
This introductory workshop has been developed to introduce you to Juran Institute’s Six Sigma training program via Virtual Workshops. This session allows you to participate in an instructor led, web-based, workshop that will focus on what Six Sigma can do for your organization. Participants will learn through case studies how Six Sigma can provide the break through results that deliver operational excellence through bottom line profitability and permits a company to achieve long-term goals through the deployment of projects. During this short presentation the instructor will discuss things like:
- What is Six Sigma?
- Are you ready for Six Sigma?
- Six Sigma improvement strategy
- What makes Six Sigma different
- What does it take to implement Six Sigma?
In addition workshop participants will learn about Green Belt Training and our 14-Module Online Series that begins this September. Find out what a Green Belt is and how to accomplish this training online.

Workshop Instructor Bio:
Brian J. Swayne, Vice President, Juran Institute, Inc.
Brian Swayne is Vice President, Transactional Business Development Team Leader, and Six Sigma Master Black Belt for the Juran Institute, Inc. In this capacity, Brian leads Juran Institute trainers and consultants in guiding financial and service industry clients to Six Sigma levels of performance. His excellent training skills and presentation style enable our clients to understand difficult topics and achieve intended results.
Mr. Swayne worked in General Electric’s Six Sigma Initiative for their two main transactional businesses - GE Capital and GE Information Services. He personally led and consulted on Six Sigma projects that have generated over $8 MM in bottom-line benefits. Brian worked primarily as a change agent within GE Capital in using Six Sigma quality process assessments in due diligence activities, chartering the Six Sigma quality programs in two of GE Capital’s acquisitions, and resetting the quality program in one of its core businesses. He assisted in developing, and then leading the pilots of transactional quality training courses for Executives, Champions, Black Belt, Green Belt, Sales, and the Quality Coach - General Electric’s on-line training and support tool.
Mr. Swayne received a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Political Science from the United States Coast Guard Academy, and a Masters of Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Operations Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Prior to joining the Juran Institute, he was a Master Black Belt at General Electric. He was also an officer in the United States Coast Guard driving ships and strategic planning.
